₦50-200,000 NGN / Month

We’re seeking a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Content Marketing Strategist who’s part technologist, part content thinker, and all about discoverability. This is not an “SEO checklist” role. We’re looking for someone who understands how content, structure, and strategy work together to unlock real, organic growth. You’ll dive deep into keywords, crawl errors, metadata, and AI-driven search trends, while also collaborating with content teams to shape what we publish and how we optimize it. Bonus points if you know WordPress inside-out and can spot a CSS issue with your eyes closed.

The Community You’ll Join

You’ll be part of a high-growth, fully remote team where self-starters thrive. Our culture is entrepreneurial and collaborative, built on agile principles and fast-paced execution. Teams work cross-functionally with marketing, product, analytics, and creative stakeholders to drive performance-based content campaigns. We communicate openly, move quickly, and deliver results. You’ll own projects end-to-end. Your ideas will directly impact business growth.

The Difference You’ll Make

  • Lead on-page SEO across websites and blogs – titles, headers, structure, internal links, and metadata.
  • Audit and improve technical SEO: site speed, indexing, schema markup, mobile friendliness, sitemaps and more.
  • Monitor and optimize content performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.
  • Use WordPress (WP Bakery or similar page builders) to implement SEO changes directly.
  • Write and shape search-optimized articles, landing pages and resource libraries in collaboration with content teams.
  • Support light HTML, CSS, and PHP updates when needed, or work with devs to resolve issues quickly.
  • Stay on the frontier of AI + SEO (ChatGPT, SGE, vector search) and help position the organization for what’s coming next.
  • Bring a testing mindset to all things. Conduct A/B tests, test ideas, analyze results and scale what works.

A Typical Day

  • Review ranking and indexing issues in Google Search Console and flag fixes to the team.
  • Optimize existing blog posts and landing pages for current keyword trends and search intent.
  • Join content and social media sprints to support topic research and high-volume keywords with intent-match headlines.
  • Use Screaming Frog or a similar crawler to audit a page cluster or catch site errors.
  • Analyze SEO performance metrics and report on organic growth, keyword rankings and traffic ROI.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical SEO issues including Core Web Vitals, crawl depth, and structured data.
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to implement SEO best practices in UX and site performance.
  • Analyze competitors and pitch new evergreen content to close visibility and keyword gaps.
  • Monitor and support off-page SEO initiatives like link building, guest blogging, or digital PR outreach.
  • Experiment with AI tools to generate or rewrite SEO copy, and tweak it to feel human again.
  • Contribute to process documentation and internal SEO playbooks to improve team velocity and knowledge-sharing.
  • Dedicate time to professional learning via YouTube, podcasts, online courses, or assigned research.
  • Stay current on search algorithm updates, AI advancements and evolving SEO best practices.
  • Develop and refine SEO strategies that align with business goals and upcoming service/content initiatives.

Your Expertise

  • 2–4 years in SEO strategy, technical SEO, or related performance marketing roles.
  • Expertise in keyword research and search intent mapping to guide content and site architecture.
  • Deep understanding of on-page SEO including metadata, internal linking, and content structure.
  • Experience in off-page SEO strategies including link building, digital PR, and backlink audits.
  • Skilled in technical SEO: indexing, sitemaps, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and mobile-first optimization.
  • Familiarity with local SEO practices such as citations, local content, and Google Business Profiles.
  • Curiosity-driven mindset, with a focus on AI trends in SEO (SGE, ChatGPT, Claude, vector search, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress, including page builders (e.g., WP Bakery), plugins, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in tools like Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Moz.
  • Comfortable with basic HTML, CSS, and PHP for implementing or coordinating SEO fixes.
  • Committed to white-hat SEO practices and staying current with Google algorithm updates.
  • Strong grasp of performance tuning techniques including caching, lazy loading, and responsive design.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with content and engineering teams for cross-functional SEO impact.
